Shane had every right to do what he did, Hopkins went off on GBP after Schafer made the comment about him retiring and now Schafer is running around with Shanes ex I wonder how Oscar would feel is Shane showed up with that stripper who supposedly had nude pics of him just saying. Also Oscar started GBP to help young fighter and not be like the Don Kings and Bob Arum's of the world but as time goes by he sounds more and more like one of them he just has Schafer doing all the dirty work!

Mosley walked away from Golden Boy recently so he could pursue a fight with Manny Pacquiao, which he successfully secured for May 7 at MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

In Mosley's mind, had he continued to fight for Golden Boy, he would likely not have been able to get the fight because of the ongoing feud Oscar De La Hoya's company has with Bob Arum and his Top Rank Inc., which promotes Pacquiao.

Not only that, Mosley believes that Golden Boy wanted Juan Manuel Marquez to get a third fight with Pacquiao and that De La Hoya and his CEO, Richard Schaefer, didn't show any loyalty to a fighter - meaning Mosley - who was also a partner in Golden Boy.

"I think that is what is angering me more, that they wanted to have Juan Manuel Marquez have the fight," Mosley said. "I didn't realize it at the time, that the real focus was on Juan Manuel Marquez."

Mosley said that left a "bad taste" in his mouth. It became more sour when he saw that Golden Boy had begun inviting Mosley's soon-to-be ex-wife, Jin, to some of their recent cards. [Click Here To Read More]

Dela hoya was roid up, too. As soon as Arum brought it up Dela hoya went quiet...lol.

How do you figure? Shane, being a fighter AND a partner with GBP, got fed a laughable PPV against Sergio Mora ffs while GBP was out there doing their damndest to get JMM a multi-million dollar fight with Pacquiao, even though they knew that's what Mosely wanted. Hell, even Bernard tried harder to get his boy Shane a fight with Pac then GBPs CEOs did (with the whole Pac needs to fight a slick african american fighter like Mosely). I don't blame Shane even a little bit for doing what was best for him, especially when GBP and Arum are playing junior high school games (both are to blame IMO), preventing some good fights from happening all in the name of ego and pride. Hell, they even stuck it to Hopkins after the second Jones fight, disrespecting and dishonoring him by talkin **** to the media - and he's a partner in GBP too. It seems they are the ones whose integrity and loyalty is lacking.

And, the nonsense with Jin - well that's just low as low can go IMO. That's most definately a big *** U to Shane and even a woman can see that. GBP is butthurt and playing kindergarten games because, quite simply, they aren't going to get the recognition or their extra share of a multi-million dollar fight. They only get the small percentage of Pacquiaos purse, which they would have gotten no matter who he fought. They could have made millions more had they been the promoter of Mosely for this fight. Schaefer was right though when he said "what comes around, goes around".... and, hey, it's going a-r-o-u-n-d you right now, Richard. No extra money for you on this one d1ckhead! Tsk Tsk.

Does anyone know how much longer GBP gets a percentage of Pacquiaos fights for? I thought I read once that it was only for 7 fights, in which case it should be almost over...

I'd bag Jin Mosley too, if I was in GBP.

I would also like to add that another reason that GBP may be so bitter towards Mosely is - it's possible that Shane just opened the door, or created the blueprint, for other fighters and what they may need to do to get fights made that they want - if GBP can't or won't provide for them, because of the fued between Arum and GBP. Now they risk other fighters in their stable doing the same thing. Had GBP played it cool and as understanding as they were supposively going to be for JMM to get a fight with Pac (they publicly stated they were willing to step out of the picture for negotiations between JMM and Pac to get a fight made), it's quite possible that Shane would have come back immediately after the Pac fight and all could have been as good or better than it was before. [Actually, there would have been no need for Shane to "leave" had GBP been as willing to "step aside" with Mosely as they had been with JMM. IMO, it only solidifys the fact that they wanted JMM to fight Pac over Mosely.]
Think about it. If there is the slightest, or the teeny tinyest chance that Mosely does win a fight against Pac - GBPs offers following that could have been tremendously profitable and an incredible win-win situation. Every one would have Shane Moselys name in their mouths. At the worst, nothing would change with a loss to Pacquiao as most expect Pac to win anyway. Now, as it stands, GBP has nothing to gain with Shane Mosely, since it appears that their partnership is down the toilet.

Mosely requires cash today, not five years from now. His divorce cleaned him out and De La Hoya was not sympathetic.
Arum possibly offered Shane something in the promotional field for the future as an extra incentive.
Golden Boy has not been laying any golden eggs as of late.
Marquez is not getting any younger and Alvarez is hardly a sure thing.
The company has not gone public which indicates that certain power brokers assume that stock in the company would not be viewed as a wise investment.
In addition, Oscar is seen as arrogant and not recognized as a wise promotor.
He needed a Marquez fight as a symbol of his negotiating strength in the game and lost to the best player in the game.

I can't blame Mosely for cashing in. I just want nothing to do with this greed soaked slaughter.

                  Regarding Arreola:
You could bring back Eddie Futch from the dead to train this guy and it would make no differnce. He has shown what he has and it is not nearly enough to gain a strap.
Smokin' Bert Cooper was a better ESPN fighter, even when unprepared.

                      Jin heartless

Simple Shane abused on all fronts. Dirty pool with GBP bringing Jin around. And she's evil to go along with it.

I don't like Shane v PAC either but Shane has o take care of himself. And he's doing it here. Unless your talking Martinez, Mayweather (yeah, right) and the like, Marquez and Shane are lateral choices - about equal.
