Hold on. They were fully prepared to sign for the fight. Who cares if they wanted another fight. They were ready to put it all down on paper, sign the contract. Maybe they are so confident of smashing Haye's face in, they dont care about taking another fight. In anycase, as the manager said, it would mean 10 months before Klitchkos last fight. They dont want him to to go that long inactive before a major fight.

And tbh I don't think Haye-Wlad is that big for boxing outside of Britain.
It's huge for the heavyweight division. And the fact remains, no fighter in their right mind would leave only a 10 week gap between a Chisora and Haye fight. There is no way you can rest sufficiently and train for a fight of this magnitude in 6-7 weeks (after a rest). Something is up with the Klit's. Haye can't be criticised for these negotiations falling apart.

Except Haye was the one who balked, not Wlad.

If he wants to take a tune-up that's his prerogative. He was still willing to make the fight for July 2nd.

We don't know for certain that they were fully prepared to sign for the July date? Maybe they knew fighting Chisora would cause negotiations to fall apart. Only having 10 weeks between the fights leaves me su****ious.

The K bros, have been champs much longer then Haye, yet here he comes making these I want a fight by so and so date or else.

Chisora is nothing but a glorified sparring session for Wladimir.

Haye doesn't have the balls to make a competitive fight and risk his pay day, that's why Booth is spitting out the dummy. Booth knows Haye is one punch away from being ppv toast.

It is a risk worth taking, surely? They should have just called his bluff and asked him to sign.

F**k it. Who cares. Neither Haye or Klit wants the fight enough.

                  Moves back to 140 division.

This is the kind of crap that really makes boxing look bad. I believe boxing should have some sort of rule and/or penalties in order to ensure big fights between champions and pound for pound fighters happens. These guys need to be made to fight. How about mandatory unification bouts? I've read the details of these talks falling apart and I still can't help but feel Haye's just finding new excuses to not make the fight. Oh well at least he'll be retired in 9 months and we won't have to listen to his garbage after that.
