Wlad Hits Haye With More Demands

WLADIMIR KLITSCHKO has hit David Haye with a shedload of demands on top of insisting every penny from a showdown is split evenly.
The IBF and WBO world heavyweight champion is also demanding a German doctor in his corner; that his name goes first on all advertising; and that Haye enters the ring first as he only holds the WBA title.

A Haye insider said: "David is bending over backwards to ensure this fight happens in England as soon as possible.

"But now all these other demands are coming in and it makes you wonder what kind of game the Klitschko camp are trying to play.

"David doesn't have a problem with any of those requests, but progress on getting anywhere with actual fight contracts is very slow indeed.

"Does Klitschko want this fight? That is something only they can answer but no one can accuse David of not doing everything in his power to make it happen."

Haye will not flinch from his planned retirement date of October this year when he turns 31, and he wants to go out as undisputed world heavyweight champion by taking on WBC champion Vitali as well before that deadline.

I don't think there is anything over the top with those demands, apart from the doctor, which is quite a strange request. The advertising as well, in the UK Haye should be allowed to have his name first on the advertising. The klitschko's strike me as very petty...oh well lets just hope it happens.

I think the advertising is very unreasonable. It should be different in the UK to Germany and Ukraine to reflect each fighter's popularity. I don't even get why that's a big issue for them (providing it actually is, as boxing journalism is so poor it's difficult to know what's true anymore).

But yes, everything else seems fine. I think coming in first is better anyway. Helps him sell the 'underdog' thing like with Valuev, and build up just how a big an opponent Wlad is for all the new boxing fans that have jumped on his bandwagon and aren't clued up.

Wembley is 90,000. Anyway Haye should be top of the UK advertising Wlad Germany etc, and i am sure Haye doesnt care if he comes out first he did the same at the Enzo fight. Just get it signed we dont really care about this sort of thing.
