What the hell happened to the Heavyweight divison?

After Tyson's downfall and the rise of Michael Jordan, all the good sized American Athletes turned to Basketball.
Another thing I've noticed is guys today either body-build (Tim Bradley) or r fat (Juan Diaz) which puts guys who (height-wise) would be better off in smaller weight classes, in the heavier weight classes that they're at. Like, at 5'6" Tim Bradley could have been a featherweight. But becuz he's so damn muscular, he can't go no lower than 140. His height is his biggest flaw in the division. If he was 3 or 4 inches taller he would possibly be unbeatable.
I bet if Chris Arreola wasn't too undisciplined to diet he could make Cruiserweight. Most of the heavyweights today r guys that should (based off their height) be at max light heavyweights. But becuz they body build, or r too lazy to diet and drop the weight, the division is filled with a bunch of short guys that will all easily be outboxed by the giants that r the Klitchko's.Comment

In all honesty, as Americans the sport of boxing has taken a back seat to NFL/NBA/MMA. But it's mostly MMA. When there's a PPV, everyone in the states automatically think PPV MMA?, and when you say naw it's boxing, most people say naw I don't watch boxing anymore. You gotta realize MMA in the states is a huge thing right now, and boxing has lost hundreds of up and comers to it. Go to any mall in America and you won't see anyone wearing a Klitch shirt or an Arreola shirt. But you will see about a hundred TapOut shirts being worn. Everyone I know thinks they can become the next Tito Ortiz. That's all honesty right there for you bro.The thing that gets me about the whole NFL/NHL//NBA/PGA thing (apart from the fact that it smacks of whiny pro-American excuse making) is that it really doesn't explain things at all. Look at the Super Middleweight division, a division in which Europeans have excelled in, us Brits especially. Why is this? Why aren't we all going into soccer, bar none the most popular and well-paid sport in Western Europe? How come we kick so much f... f... frikkin' ass?Comment
