Wlad makes more demads for Haye contract

WLADIMIR KLITSCHKO has hit David Haye with a shedload of demands on top of insisting every penny from a showdown is split evenly.
The IBF and WBO world heavyweight champion is also demanding a German doctor in his corner; that his name goes first on all advertising; and that Haye enters the ring first as he only holds the WBA title.

A Haye insider said: "David is bending over backwards to ensure this fight happens in England as soon as possible.

"But now all these other demands are coming in and it makes you wonder what kind of game the Klitschko camp are trying to play.

"David doesn't have a problem with any of those requests, but progress on getting anywhere with actual fight contracts is very slow indeed.

"Does Kitschko want this fight? That is something only they can answer but no one can accuse David of not doing everything in his power to make it happen."

Haye will not flinch from his planned retirement date of October this year when he turns 31, and he wants to go out as undisputed world heavyweight champion by taking on WBC champion Vitali as well before that deadline.

In Germany and the US it makes perfect sense for it to be marketed as Wlad's fight. In the UK it doesn't and I'm sure K2 wouldn't ask for that.

Haye has a title but Wlad is the recognised champ and should enter the ring as such.

I say all that as a Haye fan and a Brit.

All that said, the article's just nonsense. Maybe, maybe it's a deliberate leak from the Haye camp to excuse them if it all falls apart but I really doubt it. A journalist got bored.

If true, other than the German doctor business it sounds fairly ok. The advertising bit is probably an exaggeration anyway, and Wlad deserves to be coming in second as he's closest thing to being 'the man' at Heavy out there.
