Comments Thread For: Odlanier Solis Rips Into Vitali Klitschko Over Money

After a promising start, negotiations between K2 / KMG on the one side and ARENA Sports-Promotion on the other side for the WBC heavyweight championship between Vitali Klitschko and mandatory challenger Odlanier Solis seem to have stagnated.

    Oner is talking some sense.

Solis will lose, but he wants his money's worth.

    Vitali will kill him though.

there aren't very many heavyweights out there to be in a position to make any counter demands at the Klitschkos so while Solis may think highly of himself few others do

Outside of Bob Arum, K2 would have to be the most difficult team to negotiate with. Their low-ball offers are becoming legendary.

as I said before, typical of klits offering slave contracts, every guy who fights them as a mand should always go to a purse bid

Solis is a real fighter, very skilled. The last handful to get in with Vitali had no plan to win, Solis has many. This one is years in the making, I look forward to it.

Who the hell are they low balling? Im sorry they didnt offer the vanquisher of Ray Austin tons of money...or the man who single handedly won an MD against Dimitrenko all the cash, and sorry 42 year old Shannon Briggs wasnt given a 50/50 split for time well served. Sorry, but fighters have to earn their money. They all are getting the biggest paydays of their careers I guarantee you that. Ask yourself this.

If Vitali vs. Tyson Fury would bring in 10 million and Vitali would get 9 mil

                  or

Vitali vs. Odlanier Solis would broing in 14 mil and Vitali would get 8 and Solis 6...who are you going to want to fight if youre vitali.

The Klitschko's arent going to take on a better challenger for less money, why would they do this and until these guys can start actually bringing something to the table theyre going to continue to get low balled because thats what they deserve. Im sure fi Solis went out and fought and beat Haye, Adamek Chambers, Povetkin...any of those guys he'd get a better deal, but beating Ray Austin?

And there we have it. Haye ain't scared of the Klits, it's their off the wall demands. Haye did offer a 50/50 split on everything, didn't he? But still no answer from the Klitorises.
