Victor Oritz should retire from boxing. He's too squeamish for boxing.
Are Vic O's behind him already???

I agree. Ortiz is huge at 140. That is another thing i cant explain to myself. Why in the world do smaller fighters with less power move him around with ease and back him up? Imagine him at 147. Berto is the worst matchup for ortiz. He will break down mentally when he feels Berto's power in round one. Berto would not respect him and would have Ortiz backing up in no time. I agree with the others. Ortiz needs to fight Matthysee to see where he is at. A Judah fight would also be a great matchup. To this day, i cant get the words "i dont deserve to be getting beat up like this" out of my head. Ortiz problem is mental.Comment

He has the technique and physical attributes like speed and power but he doesn't have game in the ring.
If he can't knock you out before 5 or 6 rounds he's wide open to be taken to school.
To be great in boxing you have to have a desire to learn. You notice how fighters like Khan and even someone like Alvarez, what are they always talking about in these Boxingscene Articles?
They're talking about how much they're eager to learn, how much they have learned, and how much more they need to learn.
Ortiz on the other hand thinks he's already has it all I guess. And from a lot of other interviews he doesn't think for himself in the ring, he leaves that on his trainers. Which is just lazy imo.
Still can't believe the biggest problems he had with the Peterson fight was the scoring. Are you serious? What about the obvious and blatant things your performance in that fight was missing? It's as if he can't even see or feel the flaws in the ring.
Someone like Khan or Alvarez would address those flaws publicly and seek to improve them.Comment

the guy should quit imo, he speaks like he's a journeyman. If you watch his post fight interviews with his fights lately its obvious he just wants to cruise through the sport and I quote "just having fun in life, boxing is not everything". ALL of the top 140 pounders are hungry and Ortiz use to have a very bright future for his boxing career. Guess he really doesn't like to get hit more than your usual fighter as Garcia claimed, considering his unfortunate story about his family and raising his brother I'm surprised he doesn't have a huge heart in the ring. Would of made a great fairytale.Comment
