Winky just told Mosley how to beat Pac...not the other way around...The Jab...and plenty of head movement...Pacquiao verse any boxer and he will be in trouble...Pacquiao wouldn't stand a chance in the ring with Mayweather...Floyd would box circles around Manny...Roach and Arum both know it and thats why theres a good chance you will never see a fight between the two!

You don't gas in the second round. Mosley stopped fighting in the second round when his hail-mosley's failed him and he was left heartless.

All I'm saying is that Mosley's psyche was different in 2000 than it is now. It's about the head, not the physical ability.

Against Floyd, Mosley never really believed he would be able to outbox or outfight Mayweather before the fight even started, and relied on his power to get lucky. He got lucky and couldn't capitalize.
So he stopped trying to win.

The difference between the fights was the mental preparation beforehand, not what was going on in the respective fights.

I'm also speaking from experience here, if you prepare yourself good mentally, you'll go through hell and back without thinking about it.
If you are somewhat off, you're not willing to walk through hell in the first place.

What happens on fight night only shows off what kind of mental state you came in with.
That was a different Mosley one that was arguably juicing, and if he was that would make him mentally stronger since he would have that extra juice in his system that was designed to give him the edge. The power of the mind can be a wonderful thing~

I disagree, he can come into battle with a great mindset, to me the battle is what causes the problem not before hand (if you don't make him fold he won't). If you attack Mosley's mindset he is easy to beat that is what Floyd did. If you just attack him physically he will not fold in the same way nor will it be as rapid.

That just points to him being overall soft mentally, and nothing in this world could do a thing about it even if Mosley wanted to.

Maybe it was a roided Mosley back then.

But I don't think Mosley is a soft mental fighter. I think he's shown tremendous heart, courage and toughness by jumping in the ring with the best at three different weightclasses, and even back to back fights with guys he's lost to.

I think he's a tough nut to crack if he believes he'll beat you, like Margarito and Mayorga found out. Mayorga made it a grueling battle, but Shane didn't back down.

Which is why I think the mind-set and mental preparation during training is what makes the fighter come fight night.
Of course, what happens in the fight is obviously important because you won't see anybody break down if they're winning clearly, but only the mentality going in to the fight can explain why a tough warrior suddenly comes off as soft.

Like I said he is weak mentally when that part of him is attacked, if you don't start the snowball down the hill it won't become a problem for people at the bottom.

If you don't get Mosley starting to doubt himself and take away his confidence it will be there and the fight will be hard fought. prime example would be Mayorga and Cotto, in both those fights Mosley was doing ok then each guy started doing something to bother Mosley (Cotto boxing and Mayorga grappling) and Mosley went into the ****ter for several rounds before emerging to compete, the big things those two men failed to do was take advantage of Mosley weak mental state and allowed him to mental get back into the fight.

A weakness is only a weakness if you take advantage of it and not every fighter fights in such a cerebral way to make such a weakness easy to get at.

If Mosely comes in "SHAPE" he can beat Pac...but if he doesnt hes getting knocked out plain and simple. Mosely needs to focus on nothing but conditioning and pushing his body to the max in camp!!! BODY WORK,BODY WORK,CLINCH,CLINCH,BODY WORK,BODY WORK,CLINCH,CLINCH...Pac will get frustrated then he will sell out and Shane can land that BIG BOMB and go home.
