    Boxings in...

a sad, sad state at the moment. Looking back on the history of boxing you have all these great matchups and fighters like Hagler - Hearns, Leonard - Hagler, Leonard - Duran, etc. When I think of today, the only great matchups that come to mind are Chico - JLC, Barrera - Morales.

Anyone else agree with me? While we do have some good boxers/prospects, boxing just aint the same anymore.

Morales vs Barrera, pacquiao hell vs everyone.
        Barrera vs Mckinney
        Arce vs Hussein
Castillo vs Lazcano vs Diaz vs Corrales
        Marquez vs Pacquiao
        Chavez vs Hernandez
        R. Marquez vs Austin
        Larios vs McCullough
        Spinks vs Judah 1
        Corrales vs Garcia vs Casamayor
        Arce vs Carbajal

Upsets still happen with Barrios over Anchondo
        Maussa over Harris
Barrera over Morales in the 3rd fight
        Tszyu over Judah

The state of boxing in terms of action and great fights is still good the problem is people are sleeping on the lower weights (probably more normal in size 5'9") and are obsessed with the bigger guys like DLH Vargas Hopkins etc none of which have given a real show in a while... and lets not even talk about the heavyweights lol.

I think if anything the people that follow boxing a lot can see a good good fight coming but the casual fan misses a lot except the tried and true stuff because guys like DLH, hopkins, etc keep hyping victories that are just among themselves none which were impressive enough.
