Comments Thread For: Chemito Moreno To Target Montiel-Donaire Winner

If everything goes well in his upcoming defense against Venezuelan Lorenzo Parra on February 18, the WBA's "super champion" at bantamweight, Anselmo "Chemito" Moreno (30-1, 10KOs), will target the winner of the February 19 bout between WBC/WBO champion Fernando Montiel and challenger Nonito Donaire. Moreno says it's time for him to unify the titles in 2011.

arum might do it but I see wv2 fighting the winner unless arum protects the winner which should be donaire so moreno could fight montiel

I would love for Chemito to get his shot, but I doubt he will...Maybe I can see Agbeko fighting him if he wins the tourney. I don't see Mares, nor the winner of Montiel or Donaire fighting him.

thats what i was thinking, protect them from wv??..these guys are a lot better than him,why would they fear wv?..all these fighters at bantam fighting each other is a lot more interesting and better on their resume than adding vazquez, while donaire and montiel face off,and mares against champ agbeko, vazquez is facing arce...lol,no comment....to him there are no better boxers than vazquez and morel

awesome fight if it happens, this guy boxes great, this is what boxing needs, unified champions, make it interesting, and mares also wants the winner of donaire/montiel,,nothing but great fights here,no need for anybody to go up in weight,122 is dead, all the action is at 118,first fight everybody at this weight and then move up,the only one i can see moving up is donaire, but the rest should stay and fight the others

Perhaps it's the cynic in me, but I doubt it happens. The winner of Montiel-Donaire will probably move up.

Moreno's a high risk, low reward type of fighter. He brings little money, and hell, a lot of fans aren't aware of him, they don't even list him as a top fighter in the division.

Moreno-Agbeko is more likely to happen IMO.
