I respect all Mayweather's accomplishments up to and including Mosley. This is a man who has fought with severe problems with back and shoulder pain and the inevitable hand problems in his latter career. He has also taken control of his opponents and is able to take criticiszm because he takes ownership of promotion and profit and loss. He may be a bit crazy but he has been one of the finest boxers I have ever seen. Undefeated in 41 fights and a reigning world champion for almost 13 years straight.

Manny Pacquiao, I respect everything he has done up to and including the Miguel Cotto fight. Throughout his whiole career he has been happy to be dictaterd to and led a merry money-making exclusivity dance by Bob Arum when he could have gone so much further and done so much more for boxing. Far too many cases of beaten, has-been leftovers being fought. He has become a sellout politican who does little for the poorest in the Philipines but was simply happy to stand independently before amalgamating himself into the government party on the back of a campaign that has noi real policies. To beat Morales twice followed by Barrera and JM was a legendary feat in itself. to then move up to 147 and begin to dominate was great but since he has consolidated that he has done nothing for boxing.

At least Mayweather fought guys like judah, castillo and baldomir when he was getting into position and he won convincingly.

He is also a defensive genius in my opinion.

Mayweather - never fought for a vacant title, never fought a title match at a catchweight..... something which is often overlooked

Mayweather fights mosley, and again, an old, past his Prime mosley. Pac fights oscar and wins, hes the new p4p champ, and this was how long after he was "too OLD" for mayweather to fight him? Then pac beats hatton and everyone praises the hell out of him, then he goes on to fight clottey, cotto, and marg, the only one who even could have been a decent opponent for him was cotto, lets face it, clottey sucks, cottos not that great anymore, and marg needs plaster in his gloves to win. And then of course i cant forget about pacs upcoming bout with, thats right you guessed it, the OLD past his prime, bum mosley, at least thats wat was said after mayweather beat him, and when pac dismantles him, he will seriously be considred for one of the GOAT. I cant stress this enough, im not taking anything away from pac, hes a great fighter, i would just like honest opinions on this.
Ts,U are correct in ur assessment.Which is sad because I'll keep it simple in telling U why.Floyd is indeed a cherrypicker & has always taken the easiest road to being undefeated,50% of fight fans will admit that.

Pacman came along & beat Oscar, which everyone thought that he would lose, good for him. Then he beat Hatton, but he did it at 140,Hatton was indeed the lineal champion at the weight, while Floyd beat him at 147(when Collazo proved he didn't belong there. But to fight Cotto,Pacman needed a catchweight, why??Then it's only common sense that if Clottey throws 10 punches a round & Pacman peppers out 80,he can't lose.Although in fairness Clottey is the only fighter that Pacman fought above 140 that didn't need extra stipulations.Margarito for the 154lb catchweightwas simply garbage,Mosley 2 years removed from offering team Pac a fight at 142,after 2 horrible fights is garbage too!!

The conclusion is that both are simply bad for boxing. The only difference is that everyone knows that about Floyd, but won't acknowledge it about Pacman. It's like the pot calling the kettle black.

these caught my eyes... pac was an amateur at 16 ?!

he was amateur at 14 with record of 60-4 <-- damn i didn't know this one

he was 16 when he moved to the professional boxing world.

and hey... oscar, then hatton and then mosley (which is not being done yet)... why did you skipped on Cotto, clottey, and margarito?

It's simply because Mayweather is Basically what America Hates. A Black Hip Hopper.

Simple as that. Most white people just don't like Black Americans. Especially the fast talking type with alot of money.

So when you have a A talented Black Guy like Mayweather who does amazing things and doesn't kiss ass and suck up then theres is no good deed he can do that would turn the people in his favor.

You have people who want him to go to jail for the remainder of his adult life because he smacked his ex wife.

Shows you how Crazy America is from the perspective of a young african american male.
