    Just rewatched Castillo vs Mayweather 1

    How did Lederman have the scorecard 115-111? What fight was he watching, seriously?

    Going by a 10-point must system (he had a 9-9 round), I scored the fight 115-111 Mayweather, Judge scoring was 116-111, and 2x 115-111

    Either way, there's no way Castillo won that fight, let alone 115-111

    And the way Lampley complained about it being "Not the fight we saw", hilarious

    edited for scoring

    That fight was not as close as people make it out to be. Castillo did land a lot but it wasn't as close as Pac JMM 1 and 2. If you really watch the whole fight from start to finish you will see Floys dominating the first half then Castillo slowly getting back in the fight, but it wasn't enough to win, maybe a draw would have been his best bet but he didn't win.

      Going by a 10-point must system (he had a 9-9 round), I scored the fight 116-112 Mayweather, the closest judge score to mine was 116-111, the other two judges scored it 115-111

      Either way, there's no way Castillo won that fight, let alone 115-111

      Obviously you've lied to us in the thread title. I doubt you ever watched this fight, let alone rewatched it.

      The best case scenario for Mayweather is a draw, but I'm with the majority of people who think Castillo most definitely edged him. If the victory was so clear cut, we wouldn't have people (Floyd himself?) crying that Mayweather had a shoulder injury.

        I watched it when it aired, and I though Jose got robbed too. I was so sure he won I never even rewatched it, and agreed with everyone for years about Floyd losing.

        I rewatched it last spring. What fight was I watching the first time?? Floyd clearly won that fight. When Jose put the pressure on heavy, Floyd still got the best of most of the exchanges.

        Castillo winning has become kind of an urban legend people accept as a fact without really looking into it themselves. Do yourself a favor and download it (its up in the Video Trading Block) and watch it minus the commentary. You'll be surprised.

          1. Why would you assume I lied in the thread title? Because I share a different opinion than you?

          2. Best case scenario for Mayweather is a draw? Are you SERIOUS? I think it's safe to assume you've never even seen the fight. Here's a youtube link for you, so you can sit and actually score the fight for yourself:

          My scores

          F=Floyd
          C=Castillo

          1 F10 - C9
          2 F10 - C9
          3 F10 - C9
          4 C10 - F9
          5 F10 - C9
          6 C10 - F9
          7 C10 - F9
          8 F10 - C8 (Point deduction against Castillo)
          9 F10 - C9
          10 C10 - F9
          11 F9 - C9 (Point deduction against Floyd, I had Floyd ahead in the round therefore a tie)
          12 F10 - C9

          I miscounted my original score, I had it down 115-111 for Floyd. Not 116-112

                Once again, people who hate Floyd will dog him on this fight. Just like they'll dog him because people claim he's "weak" against Southpaws.

                  I've seen the fight. I've seen every Mayweather fight, excepting only his amateur ****. And even some of those I've seen. I don't need a YouTube video:

                  I'm not prepared at 2:00am to put the fight on right now, but next time I do, we can have a RBR in private, or I'll bump the thread.
