          There's a reason for that.

Morales started young, had a terrific career, and retired young. Same with Barrera. Marquez lost his first professional fight for God's sake. He wasn't on anyone's mind. When the other two retire, all of a sudden Marquez is somebody. That's no coincidence.

Nobody ducked Marquez; he was an absolute non-entity.

Pretty much, Marquez is the "default" mexican champion as of right now.

JMM was just as skilled if not more so than both Morales and Barrera.

Is just that JMM was very technical and didn't really get into an all out war with his opponents like EM and MAB did. He had good defense and used, angles, skills, boxing IQ. While IM and MAB were the opposite they loved going to war. This is a reason why JMM has lasted longer than both. When JMM started losing a step, and got older, and his skills diminished he changed his style to a more fan friendly style. This is why he wasn't as popular as those 2.

JMM is a poor man Ricardo Lopez. But, don't get it twisted he was still just as skilled if not more so than EM and MAB.

You're entitled to your opinion, and I'll respect that. What I'm about to say isn't a personal attack, but I disagree with you.

Another theory could be that Marquez has lasted longer because he didn't do **** for the better part of his career. Look at how young Morales and Barrera were when they were ripping each other apart. The Junior Joneses, Kevin Kelleys, Barreras, Chavezes, Pacquiaos. What was Juan doing at this point in his career?

Toiling in their shadows, pretty much. He wasn't a hot commodity, he wasn't fighting top quality opposition. He was essentially biding his time. Both Morales and Barrera burned out sooner, but also burned brighter than Marquez ever will, and I don't think outlasting them makes him better by any means.
