Yeah u r right. The fight wouldnt sell very well in the U.S., maybe 100-200k. Just thought about the ESPN3 thing.
They would have to put the fight on HBO or ESPN3 for viewers to watch it in the U.S.
Hatton was incredibly popular at his peak. Haye has the natural advantage of being in a more prestigious weight class. Even so, Sky will have to do well to beat Hatton's record.
Another factor is that Sky Sports News, which is immensely popular and basically becomes a 24/7 commercial in the run up to a PPV, isn't a free channel any more like it was when Hatton/Mayweather was happening. That could affect the buzz about the fight.
