Marquez was tougher for Floyd than Mosley was

I just rewatched the JMM-Floyd fight and JMM put up a very tough fight for Floyd. JMM counter punching was confusing Floyd a lot when Floyd tried to open up his offense and was only able to find his jab for the majority of the fight. Also JMM combinations and counters left Floyd very cautious for the majority of the fight even though he was extremely outclassed.

I know I will get people in here saying Mosley almost KO'd Floyd and Marquez got dominated for 12 rounds but if actually take a very close look in the fight it's VERY CLEAR that JMM has a ton of more boxing skill than Mosley and it's literally not even close.

Floyd was just coming from a big layoff. JMM didn't confuse Floyd enough to land more than 12% of his punches. I might watch both fights but I think Floyd outclassed them both in equal measure the Mosley performance is more impressive, because Mosley was his size, a more legitimate threat and was THE champ at 147. Also Floyd was hurt and was clever enough to immediately start diggin to the body on the inside and totally took away Mosley's tactics.

Hard to decide who was a tougher fight when, between both guys, they only won 2 rounds at the most out of 24.

I thought Marquez put on a valiant effort as well. I don't know if Floyd just decided to fight him like that or what, but he seemed to have a lot of respect for Marquez's boxing skills in that fight. If Marquez was actually strong enough to hurt him that would have been a good fight.

Well I didn't mean confuse but he had FLoyd very defensive because everytime Floyd tried to open up with straights and left hooks Marquez would throw counters and combinations and it had Floyd very defensive.

JMM was completely outclassed but he put up a very tough fight for Floyd SKILL WISE. Mayweather could do anything he wanted with Mosley..all Mosley had was power. Just re-watch the JMM fight and watch very closely.

JMM was actually trying to win unlike Shane...Mosley was trying to talk it out but Floyd popped his ass flat on his grill to remind him he was in a fight and not on the Forgive and Forget show.

Marquez also painted the blueprint for that right hand over the top that Mosley landed to begin that sequence in round two of their fight.
