Comments Thread For: Amir Khan: Michael Katsidis is Not Even an Option

WBA junior welterweight champion Amir Khan is not even considering lightweight contender Michael Katsidis as a possible opponent for his next ring appearance. Khan is planning an homecoming battle in England in the month of April. 140-pound contender Lamont Peterson is a frontrunner according to sources in Golden Boy Promotions. Zab Judah was being considered but he reached a deal to face Kaizer Mabuza for the vacant IBF title.

khan's next fight needs to be against Bradley/Alexander winner . no need for a tune up or a fight in between

Good. Khan should fight a top 10 Light Welterweight (Like Peterson) or rematch Prescott.

So Khan should wait and not fight untill June? Only fight 2 times a year? Khan is doing the right thing by fighting again on April.

fighting in April then again in June seems too close together. he should just focus on the Bradley/Alexander IMO. assuming the fight takes place in June of course. if it happens later on then yeah he could take a stay busy fight in between

Khan should face Peterson or Judah.

Adapt to speed, abit of power, and some skills.

Peterson would be better, even though it's not the same style, as a Bradley tuneup.

Judah would be a good Alexander tune up, being a southpaw.

He could fight in July/August for his fight after April.

I doubt he would be back in the ring in June after April, more likely will be atleast July-August.

When Khan beat Paulie in May and they wanted to get another fight before September becuase of Ramadan and they didnt because they thought it would be too early.

good, this would have been a one sided beat down imo

khan for me has already taken out 2 of the top 5 140s in maidana and kotelnic. obviously judah is out of the question with him recently winning his purse bid

for me peterson is the best option right now, he gave ortiz a hell of a ride and should have won if he was a bit smarter in my opinion
