ye,i think he can make light welter just fine, can make welterweight with work, but if he "beat pac twice" then goin up weight shouldnt stop him beating him a third time surely?

and i think they could agree a catchweight to work for both, 145-147 limit.

as marquez weighed 145 for his last fight on the night of the fight vs katsidis.

pac weighed 144.6 for margarito, and 148 on the night of the fight.

so no reason why weight should stop this fight, its just been egos, promoters and money demands.

True and the same is true that welterweights are weighing a lot more than the limit on fight night.

if he fought the de la hoya and hatton the pac did ho would have won those fights without too much hassle.the first time he fought at 142 above he was fighting mayweather and was made to look the way almost all mayweathers opponents look.inferior.as would've pac if he fought mayweathe instead of hoya and everyone would be saying 'floyds ducking jmm'.

            No it wouldnt

Moving up to WW would have him facing fighters dehydrating themselves weighing in 160 on fight night

What you're missing is the fact the JMM would face bigger guys if he fights at 147

He has no problem making 135

It obvious that people are not able to grasp the way fighters cut weight and rehydrate

Yes, many posters are missing that fact

They think that if JMM weighs in at 147, then his opponent will also weigh in 147 fight night which is not true

Imagine JMM facing Cotto or Marg at WW

                Who would have said that

Nobody expected Floyd to pick on a fighters who just became a LW and bring him up 12 pounds

no one on here has any idea what they are talking about........the fact that every fighter who fights at the 135 limit rehydrates above 147 makes them able to compete at WW???

                  Nonsense..............complete nonsense.

omg HELLOOOOOOOO genius @ welterweight his opponents (besides Pac) will be re-hydrating to 160 lbs. and thus will have an 15 lb. weight advantage +/-.

not to mention the fact that Marquez' 147 will fatter than say Clottey's 147 because Marquez is a natural LW oh whatever why am i bothering explaining this to you? you won't understand anyway.

my point is that had jmm beaten the guys pac has like i and alot of others think he would have, while floyd beat pac easily back in 2008,people would be saying floyd picked on a guy who's never been close to fighting at that weight[pacquiao]while jmm is beating bigger guys why doesnt floyd fight him.nobody would be saying then that jmm cant cut it at 140 and above.
