So George Cotton Jr. from Da Truth Boxing says that Manny preferred Berto over Mosley

So why would he have made a fight with Shane instead of Berto? Arum maybe?

    Here is his quote....
When I last talked to Freddie Roach the day after Thanksgiving he let me know all along Mosley and Berto were favorites but Im sure Pacquiao would rather fight Berto.

Arum runs things. Actually, it's bigger than Arum.....MONEY runs things.

The Berto fight is marketable due to the Haiti earthquake and what Berto supposedly did. But Mosley fought Floyd in front of 1 million PPV buyers, and maybe several million fans.

It's a practical no-brainer in terms of profit. Arum simply picked Mosley as the more profitable fight.

Come on guys, stop discrediting these fighters. Floyd and Manny are the elite
fighters of this era. They can both beat each other. Head to head, the odds would be 5:3 in favor of Floyd....that is closer than 2:1, which, in terms of betting, is ridiculously close.

Simple....PAC will take whatever fight that Arum is giving him the most money for.

I'm sure we all know by now that Pac will fight anybody.

                yep,arums fault.

wanted more money, shane is bigger draw than berto, much more tested and proven to make a fight interesting for atleast a few rounds out of 12 if not for 13 rounds straight.

pac wanted to fight a fresher fast and strong boxer, not the poor form slightly worn but more experienced and proven fast strong powerful opponent.

if berto had have been fighting good opponents and proven himself with good performances,or even fighting people that by beating them boosts his popularity then he would have gotten the fight.

the thing about this fight is if manny trains a full camp at the wild card,he will be in top condition, and will win by tko, with so much swelling and head snapping punches bieng landed on shane, without shane being able to counter also with manny moving constantly around not being there to hit, like he did in the oscar fight.

the last fight vs margairto, that was NOT pac at his best condition, that camp was probably one of if not his worst camp before a fight, and he still brutalised margarito.

I dont think a Mosley fight is the most profitable for Pac, Maybe for Arum since he would be promoting the fight alone, But not in terms of PPV, I dont think those of the 1.4M PPV buyers from the Mayweather-Mosley would buy a Pacquiao-Mosley fight after watching Mosley get beat easily in the Mayweather fight, This is another reason why Pacquiao seem to sell less with common opponents, He fights them when they are vulnerable and buying fans can see that.

at this point pac is the blame for choosing to fight mosley...

he was perfectly fine with telling arum to **** off with foreman but not mosley?

get real. the guy is picking & choosing who he deems as less threatening.

                    wake up.
