I know this is jumping the gun, but lets say Margarito beats Cotto in the rematch.

What would that do for his career, and where do you see him going from there?

Personally, I can see an Angulo fight in Mexico, or him taking on a young gun like Berto.

    Alfredo Angulo...will probably be overlooked
Paul Williams/Shane Mosley rematches might happen if either is available

Sergio Martinez probably wants some get-back

If I had a choice, I'd choose Angulo

Shane if he does not retire. Margarito will want to try and erase that ugly loss.
        Martinez another good matchup.
Paul Williams might be interested now that he lost.
But one that many forget is Daniel Santos...if Santos does well in his comeback.

I would bet money on him fighting Martinez in the fall.

Fight makes too much sense on soo many different levels.

Martinez, Berto or Angulo. Alvarez? is good too.

thats a great list...martinez is def at the #1 slot though. I'm not sure they'd throw canelo in with tony but that fight would be GIGANTIC if it was held in mexico.

maybe throw in kirkland as well...

I think that would be the most logic choice for him.

However that one poster above made an excellent point about avenging the Mosley loss.

It's quite possible that Mosley might be coming off his 3rd bad fight in a row, leaving his confidence shot to ****, making Shane ripe for the pickings. Then you add to the fact the way the hand wrap scandal and TKO loss set his career back, then the Mosley fight may make more sense as far as redeeming his career.

                    Just my opinion though.....
