Don't be surprised if you don't see either fight (Kahn/Alexander or Kahn/Bradley)for a year or so.

Kahn said in the article from yesterday (regarding Kell Brook) "Amir, though, believes Brook needs to pick up a world title in order to make this contest a reality, the WBA light-welterweight titlist recently ignored Frank Warrens 1.5 million attempt to secure a showdown with Brook as he is seeking fights with fellow world title winners ahead of a potential unification showdown against the winner of the Tim Bradley versus Devon Alexander." http://www.boxingscene.com/?m=show&id=34315

I'm not saying it won't happen sometime in the future, but I think people are expecting it far sooner then it realistically is going to happen. And when the time comes for the fight to actually be made, I have a strong feeling that money and other issues are going to create big problems in negotiations. Who ever wins between Bradley/Alexander (*cough* Bradley *cough*), is going to have a little sumthin sumthin to say about Kahns negotiating tactics, IMO.

Can't see Khan going up to 147 to fight Brook and then coming back down to 140 to fight Bradley/Alexander.

yes he will and he will beat those to with ease, khan is much more talented boxer and has more hand/foot speed than both

I agree, but the point I was making with the bolded of my statement was to point out that Kahn is, in his own words, seeking other world title fights BEFORE he fights the winner of the TB/DA fight. Atleast that's how I read it. It sounds, by that statement, that his first priority is NOT to fight one of the winners of that fight - which is, I think, what many on here are expecting.

I think it all depends on how impressive the Bradley vs Alexander winner looks. If either win in impressive fashion then look for GBP to avoid a fight with the winner. I don't think Khan himself is afraid to fight anyone, but promoters these days have to protect their fighter. I can understand that but in doing so it robs the fans of quality fights. The name Bob Arum comes up as a prime example.

Haha! Makes our 100k bet seem kinda puny, don't it? We can increase it if ya want?

Where ya been, haven't seen ya around much lately.

The only way the Alexander/Bradley fight will not happen this year is if the winner from them asks for too much money, which is more or less a gaurantee. I can see them outpricing themselves.

He ONLY fought Maidana for one reason and thats because he didn't want to be stripped of his title, BOTTOM LINE!

And come on Maidana is not better than Bradley or Alexander... They ar CLEARLY more skilled fighters... Does Maidana have a punchers chance against either just like he had against Khan, you bet...
