You better edit that because Clottey was not at a catchweight. Mosley will probably not be either and Margarito came in at 150.
Marquez and Hatton had how many fights between them at 147 yet they were perfect opponents for Floyd!
Better? Not even close .... Manny's was better!Comment

thats the popular line right now but fact is at the time people thought Hatton was a dangerous opponent for Floyd at 147 and other then Cotto he fought the best guy available at the timeYou better edit that because Clottey was not at a catchweight. Marquez was a BS fight but still better then Margarito for a vacant belt at a catchweight IMOComment

Hatton at 147? Not in my books. You need to go by history and a few other factors. He had a very average fight at 147 then went back down to 140 and won a couple of fights. Floyd called him back up to 147.thats the popular line right now but fact is at the time people thought Hatton was a dangerous opponent for Floyd at 147 and other then Cotto he fought the best guy available at the time

Hatton was a career 140 fighter. Some fighters are only good at certain weights. Hatton couldn't do the things he wanted to against a 147lb. At least, not effectively.
Marquez at 147 better than Margarito at 150? Wow, not even close!Last edited by ADP02; 01-01-2011, 11:22 PM.Comment
