Even if you got footage of Armstrong, there's no way in hell it's 1080p, or even 720p. I'm just trying to understand why you'd even lie about it. Putting something in .mkv format doesn't suddenly turn back time and make the footage appear as though it were shot with an HD lens. This thread has been a massive waste of time.
Not saying he has the footage but your are sadly mistaken. Old film transfers very well to HD as the recording medium is very high quality. The limitations of film to your home tv was caused by the tv itself or the process of getting the original images to your tv (i.e. VHS/analog TV).

60's-very early 80's films have made some rather impressive HD remasters, Check out Conan the Barbarian in HD, its rather stunning for a 30 year old film.

I know what you mean, having films like Casablanca, Wizard of Oz, North By Northwest, It's A Wonderful Life, etc. on Blu-ray. But films are different, as they're preserved by studios and undergo various phases of restoration. However, to my knowledge, no such restorative efforts exist for old boxing footage. We can't get standard definition DVD releases for God's sake.

I'm still going go have to say the guy is full of it.

I can even say that dela hoya would have beaten this legend. Go watch youtube and you can say this guy fights like any current brawler hatton, D. Diaz or J. Diaz and katsidis.
