Every boxing show/film/series has to star a white or half-white guy as the main protagonist. Couldn't they in this age and day at least try a Chinese or Latino knowing "America isn't ready for a black boxing underdog yet"? How many times do we have to see Rocky?! Seriously, Cinderella man, the Fighter, the Raging Bull all tell the same story - the innocent white male who somehow is forced to box even though he doesn't really want to, and ends up doing great things, not before he faces adversity in the form of foes usually from other ethnic groups or nationalities. God.... How much self petty are we supposed to endure?

I thought it was a great first episode. I liked how they concealed all the violence from the viewers until the final couple minutes, very interesting looks promising.
