Brendon Smith, the trainer and manager of Michael Katsidis, has thrown his man’s name out as a possible opponent for WBA light-welterweight boss Amir Khan. Katsidis is coming off a crushing defeat at the hands of Juan Manuel Marquez yet Smith has claimed that Michael was not at his best on the night and would be a different fighter for a UK showdown against Khan.

Khan is moving on to bigger things and i am pretty sure fighting a B+ lightweight isn't what he has in mind. If he looses his next bout however Katsidis might be a good option.

I like katsidis but sadly Khan will KO him. He should fight Morales instead i think he has a chance.

Khan KO's Katsidis mid to later rounds after whooping the donkey crap outta him up until that point. Katsidis had his chance to enter the elite and money section of the boxing world but has failed numerous times. He has now reached a stage where he isnt willing to accept that:

1. He isnt good enough for the elite

2. He's no longer the fighter he once was

3. He almost, no longer matters

Khan is his way back into the bigger picture. Khan has waaay bigger fish to fry and needs to fight guys from his own weight division.
