When the Klitschkos retire... Wilder will be the man to take over.

Wasn't he down in his last fight against a nobody?

I like the guy and what he stands for, but I think he's a long shot to make any noise in this division.

I thought he had almost lost his last fight and was going to be taking some time off.

Oh it turns out that was two fights ago and he fought a few weeks ago now.

                -Terrible fundamentals
                -Ineffective use of his jab
-Footwork as bad as Tyson Fury

He has all the athletic gifts in the world, but he has a bad team. They recently stuck him with some exchampion trainer, but he is being put in soft against guys that he isn't learning anything from (with records like 17-20-2).

He needs to start over from the ground up if he's going to ever become champ.

Wouldn't he qualify as that American Athlete that didn't join the NBA and has become a boxer, that many talk about?

Problem is, he has picked the wrong role model for his learning curve. He looked like a poor man's Floyd Mayweather in there, the way he jabbed to the body and stepped back when the bum was coming forward.

At 6'7, you don't pick habits from a 5'8 guy. The Klitschko's have had the fundementals down since the beginning and have perfected their Big-Boy-Style. If he's gonna make it, he better start paying attention because moving all over the place like you're a Welterweight isn't gonna cut it.
