Why do people think a pure boxer like Mayweather, can lose?

Because the slick fighter, which is what you really mean, isn't the be-all and end all of styles either.
There are many styles that give Mayweather problems, a skilled pressure fighter gives Mayweather problems and an outside boxer who uses a jab gives him problems.
That isn't to say that he'll necessarily lose against every skilled pressure fighter and every outside fighter there ever was, but the styles are there to give him problems and everyone has the ability to lose. Mayweather is no exception.Comment

Skilled pressure fighter? Let's see, he beat : Diego Corrales, Carlos Hernandez, Jesus Chavez, Jose Luis Castillo, Zab Judah, Carlos Baldomir and Ricky Hatton. All of them fit the description yet he beat all of them. And only Castillo was able to win some rounds.
Outside boxer who uses the jab? Genaro Hernandez, Oscar De La Hoya, Juan Manuel Marquez and Shane Mosley. All of them fit the description. Yet somehow Mayweather dominated all of them. Only De La Hoya managed to win some rounds. The rest where one sided beatdowns.
Your theory doesnt make sense!Comment
