So when did Margarito start loading his gloves exactly?

I watched Margarito for a long time. Since when he knocked out Antonio Diaz. He always seemed like a pretty big puncher to me and that knockout was in 2002 if i'm correct. There were some he couldn't knock out as well. Namely Paul Williams. He always seemed like a beast to me. Old topic I know but (if) he did it would have been after the Williams fight and giving him the benefit of a doubt maybe his trainer wanted (Javier Capitillo) to give him an extra edge after that fight.

I know, I know it's an old topic. It just seemed like there were a lot of Margarito threads today just thought I would make my own with a question.

Honestly, I always personally believed the Mosley fight was the first. And I like to give Tony the benefit of the doubt. Call me naive. Whatever.

But the way I see it is his trainer could've wrapped his hands like that because of Mosley's past. You take wraps out of a glove, the extra power is gone. You stop taking steroids after X amount of time using and the musculature doesn't go away overnight. Mosley admitted to being a cheat, and he still benefits from his steroid usage to this day. The wraps were their attempt at cheater's justice, an attempt to level the playing field. That's how I always looked at it.
