Seriously what Canelo needs to do is shut the F UP and concentrate on winning some legitimate fights. The guy looks like a fat slob seriously molded into a boxer. Id love to see Cotto rock this boy seriously for them comments. Bum. I know people high on him but I ain't sold on him yet and never will. He's 20. If they fought next cotto would box saul's a$$ off. Mosley would hurt the kid. Let him progress. Get the easy belt at 147 and go to 154. We'll see what this year has in store for cotto and mosley, they will probably both lose thier big fights in 2011, but as of today this seems desperate.......Patience young man patience

Too soon. This kid has a fantastic career ahead of him but it would be a big mistake to throw him in with Cotto or Mosely in '11. Even though both of these vets are on the descending side of their peak and Canelo is a rising star they would school him on Boxing 101. I would be shocked if Schaefer allowed that kind if match making. Go ahead and take on the Malignaggis, Aydins, M. Hattons, Jacobs, and Qualis of the world. Eventually setting up what could be a future super fight at 147 vs a Berto, Bradley, Alexander, or Khan. All that will happen in a fight vs Shane or Cotto right now is that Saul will look green against a vet. He needs to take his time and continue to lab and get rounds under his belt. He isn't a natural 147 Lber so he better make his name against these young guys because when he gets closer to 30 he will struggle to make weight and he is too short to be great at 154, maybe good but not great. This kid has a shot to be great at 147, patience young Jedi, patience.

Actually his next fight at 147 will probably be his last in that division. He is still growing at 20 and is already struggling to make that weight. Reason why his last few fights have been at a catch weight of 150. He will grow into a natural 154-pounder and can move up to 160 with that frame. So his run at 147 will be very short, and he'll lose if he has to drain himself to make the weight.
