Good to see Martin get a mention. I think he was one of the most underrated prospects.

      Good work.
one of the most underrated is Jesse Vargas that kid is the future.

No Alvarez, is the most overrated prospect. I just don't see the hype. Degale actually stepped up this year and beat Paul Smith, in just his what 9th pro fight. That is a pretty good step.

This coming year we will get a better understanding of how good he is. Especially if the Groves fight comes off.

They gave it to Saul Alvarez because he's white. What a hype job.

BoxingScene gave it to Miguel Angel Garcia. And, is well deserved IMO.

I assume you meant Groves? Don't see much in him either. Degale still fights like an amateur other than speed, hes got nothing particularly going for him, he slaps and has a simple defence and jab(effective at his current level but if he faces anyone world class it will be easy to figure out). I wish him all the best but he's gotta make a serious change the guy needs to realise this isn't the amateurs. Alvarez is pretty overhyped, if he proves he can take a punch he should have a bright future but i'm not so sure he can prove that.

Right, but he has had only 9 fights. And, the level of comp he has already faced is pretty solid.

I meant Ring Magazine and everybody who overrates him is calling him prospect of the year.

besides canelo, cuz he should have been hands down POY, I think Lara, maroquin, benavidez jr would rate higher Than Garcia on my board as far as prospects go.he's top 5-10 but not 1.good analysis regardless Jake.
