yeah mares should get the winner of donaire-montiel if...a big if...he beats agbeko. from what i saw from agbeko in his fight against perez, he made substantial improvements in his game. he showed some slick moves and he made perez missed a lot. i would definitely favor him to beat mares. he's a more complete fighter than mares.

I got Agbeko over Mares. Mares needs to chill the *** out, he arguably beat Vic D barely, (the more I watch that fight, the closer my scorecard gets).

The winner of Montiel and Donaire better fight the winner of the tourney. There's no one bigger exposure of $ wise in super bantam and it'll be a few fights at feather before they get paid like they would to fight the winner of the tourney

Vic won that fight but got jobbed by both the judges and the ref.

Anyways, asking to fight the winner is wishful thinking. The only way the winner of Montiel-Donaire fights the winner of the tournament will be if Agbeko wins.

And, even then I'm not sure Montiel or Donaire(especially) Donaire would want to fight Agbeko.

The best bet for the winner of the tourney is to fight Moreno. Because, the winner of Montiel-Donaire would not fight Moreno either.

moreno is a very good fighter but sadly he won't get the big fights not because they don't want to fight him but simply he doesn't bring anything to the table but risk. he got no fanbase and with fighters like that the big-time promoters won't invest on him. he would just end up like joan guzman and caballero...always chasing the big fights.

I hope the winner of the bantamweight tourny fights the winner between Donaire and Montiel. It's about time these smaller fighters get the props for fighting the best opponents available. With Alexander vs. Bradley, Mares vs. Agbeko and Donaire vs. Montiel is a great start to 2011. And if you throw in the possible Klit vs. Haye bout if it indeed does happen, 2011 looks much more promising than 2010...

Mares won by SD, I advise Donaire not to fight Mares and just go after Juan Manuel Lopez, because Mares got two gifts already, and lets not make it 3.

People hating on mares for trying to fight the best who understands you guys. You bash people for duking fighters and tough fights but when a fighter is willing to fight the best you bash them all ya need to stfu and apreciate a fighter like mares who is willimg to prove his worth.
