Well said TS.. P Will got exposed... He doesn't fight like a top tier P4P'er. Looked amateurish in there swinging wild looping punches.. no movement/defense. Martinez showed in this fight he is levels above. He was tagging williams at will from the first bell.

Sure he can make 147, but what would be his optimum weight? I cannot agree it is 147 or 154 at this point. He needs 160 or more IMO, especially now that he is at the age where his bones will thicken and fill out.

Paul has been mismanaged the past few years. He should have picked a weight class and allow himself to gradually grow out of it. Instead he got so overhyped by his own team, that every other management team started to believe the hype and he could not even get a decent fight for the life of him.

So then he started playing the weight class yoyo game just to get fights, which would place more strain on his body. Added to his aggressive style and lack of defense, well we all know what the result was.

I mean this guy was a wrecking machine. Many in here will say he got exposed etc, but I say a healthy Williams would have handed Martinez his a$$. His career was built all wrong. He had no fanbase because his promoter never gave him a chance to build one. He was tossed to whatever casino and network that was broadcasting. He had to switch weight classes and jump around because he had to go get fights, as he had no upper hand, no home crowd and no solid base to build on.
i agree with all this and its true. hyped by his own team is the thing that sticks out too. if he goesback to 147 with a good puncher i think he will regret. hes not getting younger and i feel maybe his body doesnt want to perform much at 147-154. he should have stayed at 154 then work into 160 and so forth.

Paul Williams is a good fighter but he is not the great feared fighter that his team is making him out to be.I wish Jose Luis Lopez was around and he would put a whoopin on the punisher.

nobody is gonna fight pwill at WW. going back to WW is a cop out.

if pwill says sergio landed a lucky punch, then they should be trying to force a rubbermatch.

Paul needs to either do something like fight Dzinziruk or at the very least a confidence building fight like against Luis Collazo. The reason I think those guys would be good opponents for him is because they don't have devastating power.

Angulo would tear Williams apart. I've thought about that match up too, and I know Angulo isn't the most skilled guy in the world. But if he landed flush on Williams, TIMBER!!!!

Angulo would straight up murder Williams.

Collazo outboxes him imo as would Zinziruk. Williams really just sucks badly.
