Panama's Luis "El Nica" Concepcion, the WBA's interim-super flyweight world champion was notified that he will be elevated to the status of "full champion" after Daiki Kameda of Japan announced that he would vacate the title in order to move up to super flyweight. Rogelio Espino, the representative of Concepción, received a note from Kameda's representatives of Japan in which they communicated the boxer's intention to leave the title so he could climb to the next division.

Shimizu has been KO'd twice in title shots in the past three years and Sakata just lost by a pretty wide margin against Kameda. I hope they can do better than that for Concepcion
