I like this fight because Marquez has lost a step and Morales has enough fighting spirit to make this somewhat competitive.

People were hating on Marquez-Barrera for the same reasons as this fight but that turned out to be a war. There is a lot of Mexican pride on the line so this won't be Bhop-Jones II.

I am a big JMM fan, but this fight is bullshit. And of course I like Morales a lot too, so it's just a matter of watching one of my faves get brutalized by another one of my faves.

I'm kind of mad at JMM for taking this fight in a lot of ways. But another way of looking at it, is he can always take a more meaningful fight in the future like Bernard Hopkins did after he fought Roy Jones (Which that right there was worse than what JMM is doing by fighting Morales now). And Hops gained a lot of my respect back after that fight with Pascal.

I honestly think the same scenario will play out in regards to JMM. I believe he'll move up to 140 and fight a top guy for a title. He'll do it, win or lose and he'll be trying to make history like Morales is trying to do now.

But what separates Pacquiao and Floyd from JMM and Hopkins is Floyd and Pac fight one outgunned opponent after another. So therefore, it's easier to stomach for me if guys like Hopkins and JMM fight a fight like this a time or two. Pac does it infinately.

Marquez fighting his size or smaller than him and fighting bum and loser Katsidis who was KO by old and lackluster Casamayor and beaten by Diaz who had 5loses on his last 6 fights...Now, fighting faded and shot Morales...damn.....Marquez if he doesn't want to go up in weight, at least fight the best at 135, Soto, Guerrero, Rios.... this is cherry picking at its best....

This is strictly cashing in on a name, no different than what Cotto is doing.
