That's what I think, Americans see their fight and see how technical they are and are disappointed, especially when the H.W. division use to be a 1 hitter quitter. I can understand why people don't like the division right now, but it will be back soon, casual fans like H.W. knockouts.

I agree that when the Klitchsko's are actually challenged and/or beaten and/or out of the picture, new life will be built up.
Seth Mitchell to mee seems very promising. Not just promising, but in good shape, a good head on his shoulders, fights with meaning, says his desire is to go far in boxing and be champion (vs some saying they just want to make money and retire early or that they don't really care about creating a legacy)
I am not very sold on Chisora as his name as come from being a possible challenge to Wlad, but not necessarily because he looks like the next great thing.

Hey ******, are they knocking people out by the 4th round, Neither guy has knocked out an opponent within 5 rounds over 3 years, it's boring to see them fight.
Both brothers have the ability to knock their opponent out quickly, instead they toy around with them and make casual fan lose interest in the fight and the sport.
I LOOOOOOOVVVVVVEEEEE boxing, and it's hard for me to sit thru a Klitschko fight, imagine what a cusual fan does, they'll talk **** about the Klitschko and then they talk **** about boxing.
PEOPLE DON'T WANNA SEE HEAVYWEIGHTS FIGHTING FOR 12 ROUNDSLast edited by PACnPBFsuck; 12-31-2010, 09:45 AM.

If some of the good american heavyweight prospects can become champions and big names and put on exciting fights and develop a rivalry then heavyweight boxing will be back... The only way for a european fighter to get really big is then to beat one of these americans, and then he too will be big in America. Heavyweight boxing needs good American's if it's gonna be as succesful as it once was. Look at Lennox Lewis, he beat Holyfield and Tyson, although Tyson was shot and Holyfield was also arguably past prime, THAT is why he became a big name... He beat two great household name Americans.

They are very good fighters and will probably not be beaten again, but it will be hard for them to be considered great due to their lack of good opposisiton. All great fighters also had great resumes. Add that to the fact that they are safety first, no risk boring fighters, and there you have it... heavyweight boxing will not be what it once was aslong as the Klitschkos are fighting.

I do agree that the Heavyweight division would become a lot more competitive if the Klitschkos were out of the picture. You'd have prospects actually willing to fight each other in an effort to prove themselves the best. You wouldn't get situations like Haye and Povetkin where the top challengers actively duck the champions. Fighters like Solis might turn up motivated to a fight, in the hope that they could become Heavyweight champion of the world. Guys like Chambers, Chagaev or even, yes, Haye would probably hold the title for a while before losing it to the next up and comer. The division, in short, would be a lot more open.
From a casual fan's point of view that would be preferable purely because the fights wouldn't be so one-sided, and there'd be a much greater chance for an upset. Speaking personally, however, I would never want to sacrifice skill for excitement in any division. Fighters like the Klits only come along a few times in one's lifetime, and their domination has reached the point where I'm simply intrigued to see how much further it can last, Wlad's especially. Besides, most of the above can still happen if promoters weren't so shit scared of their fighters losing their 0's and the fighters themselves weren't such lazy prima donnas.
