  • The haters can't answer this one!

This article is total bulls**t. Floyd the person may be a disappointment, but the athlete....... are you serious? Boxing is not basketball or baseball. matchmaking is part of the game. I'm sure this same writer thinks Paquaio is some unearthly being, but he is a beneficiary of deft matchmaking as well.

How can you mention the work ethic, the impeccable fundamentals, and freakish reflexes and then say he's a disapponitment. I challenge every single person on this thread that thinks---Floyd Mayweather is disappointment as an athlete---to look in the f**cking mirror and compare your accomplishments at your job to his. I'm sure that if Floyd's resume makes him a disappointment, you all must feel retarted!

All the comparisons to Ali always leave out that Ali had to fight certain fights because he was a victim of raw hate. Don't forget, Ali was once HATED!!That hate cost him the legal ability to fight in his prime and drained him of cash reserves. So, you see Ali faught for money as well. Even did a rediculous ---Muhammad Ali/Antonio Inoki “Boxer verses Wrestler” exhibition match in 1976--- for a reported 6 million in Japan. Its blasphemy to talk bad about the greatest so I won't, but I think my point is made. Unless this is a thread for the retarted.

Tune in on HBO and watch some history be made on Jan 29, 2010

    • The fact that Floyd is asking for OST means he's scared of the
Pacman. Who has been asking for these stringent tests other
than Floyd and his fanboys? Nobody.

Floyd has been a great disappointment even before Pacquiao
was introduced as a possible opponent. Funny thing is that the
great Floyd and his fanboys keep telling us that the Pacman
would be an easy fight reiterating that Pac fought easy fights.
You'd see it repeated here over and over again. Asking for extra
tests defeats their arguments. It's mind-boggling they can't see
      it.

see you can't prove your point without name calling, you think you are smarter than everyone else. Yeah probably documented by you not by ESPN, yahoo and all respected writers that Pac killed the fight. Thanks for letting me know you're the man who knows the truth.

when was he ever offered a cotto fight?
Zab Judah was 4-2 in his last 6 fights before Mayweather. Yes, he won the undisputed title from Cory Spinks, whom he lost to previously. Then he lost his belt(s) to Carlos Baldomir and Mayweather still fought him. That is my point. Beating Cory Spinks (who miraculously had all three belts) means nothing. Cory Spinks wasn't the best welterweight at the time and therefore Judah wasn't either after beating him. Belts don't make a fighter great. Mayweather doesn't have any belts however he is considered in the top two welterweights right now and top two P4P...

When they could not come to an agreement, Top Rank and Golden Boy Promotions, which represents Mayweather, turned to a mediator, retired judge Daniel Weinstein, who had successfully mediated a series of disputes between Top Rank and Golden Boy in 2007.

But after nine hours in mediation on Tuesday in Santa Monica, Calif., and further attempts to come to a resolution on Wednesday failed, the fight was pronounced dead by the Pacquiao camp.
Here is your proof meat head. Don't talk about now because
according to Pacquiao's buddy and sparring partner "Amir Kahn"
Manny is still not mentally ready to take the OST's to make the
fight happen, so why should Floyd keep pursuing a guy that doesn't want to fight because he doesn't want to give blood? You can't
hang with me son. Keep getting at me and I'm going to molecule
you. Before you think I made this up because there is no link.
I'll have you know that when it comes to Manny articles about
this fight, they just magically disappear.

Floyd fans cant get it thru their heads that it isnt Floyds skills that are in question, it is his opponents and lack of desire that made him a superstar

Like the writer explained, he transitioned from "Pretty Boy" to "Money" Mayweather. Pretty boy was interesting inside the ring and out and fought all comers.
Reminds me of Pac since fighting Hoya. Its not about ones ability, availability but marketability.

Arum wouldn't allow Floyd to whoop up on Cotto when Floyd called for the fight. Arum wouldn't make it marketable to Floyd to fight Margarito so he moved on. Just as Pac moved on from Mosley in 2009 yet jumps on a fight in 2011. Just like fighting Clottey and Margarito, in house Top Rank fights. Its not about ability (like the WW Champion that Mosley was), availability (it doesn't matter if Floyd is around or not), but marketability (in house fights bring Arum the cash).

Yes, Floyd makes the most money for Bob fighting Pac, yet Bob would rather protect Pac and keep him winning making easy in house fight deals and selling at least 1 million on PPV no matter who it is. He's content with that and doesn't care what the fans think. He couldn't care any less if Pac ever fights Mayweather. A few in house fights and he can make his money. As the reason we get got Clottey, Margarito and a goldenless Mosley. Every one of those guys have one thing in common. All favored to lose, all coming off lay offs, losses, or just looking like complete shyt for at least 2 years.

But Mayweather's the dissapointing one because he didnt fight a few Top Rank fighters? We cant even get Bob to sign ONE fight let alone all the above. Too many point fingers JUST at Floyd. But great read IMO. Hopefully Floyd reads it to.

EXACTLY. Thats the antithesis on all these issues surronding Pac Vs. Floyd

Mayweather Sr and the Floyd Fan Boys:

                  1. Pac has been knocked down before. Jr. will KO Pac in less than 6 rounds.
                  2. Pac is one dimensional, boxes like a little kid. Can be hit easily. Floyd will toy with him and make his face like a hamburger.
                  3. Pac is a midget, Jr can school that f***ing midget.
                  4. Pac can be outboxed and will be outboxed by Jr.
                  5. Pac is only effective against those come forward fighters without head movement and eat punches with their face. HE WILL NOT WIN AGAINST A PURE BOXER EVER. Look at his fights with Marquez. He will miss all night with Floyd the GOAT.
                  6. Pac fights washed up fighters who are slow and on the decline. Floyd's speed will be too much for him Pac will have a mental breakdown like Sr. whose high in crack.

Given all these reasons, Pac should be a very easy fight for Floyd, therefore PAC SHOULD TAKE THE TEST WITHOUT CUTOFF DATES. IF HE WON'T HE KILLED THE EASY FIGHT FOR FLOYD (how genius)

"ALL ROADS LEAD TO FLOYD "MONEY" MAYWEATHER JR."

                  • Floyd Mayweather in my opinion is one of the most gifted & natrualy talented to ever put gloves on.

His reflexes, speed, timing, accuracy, counter punching & defence, are really something behold.

And although he did a accomplish a fair bit, it wasn't enough to justify his talents. And that says alot.
