PAC is 32. His last 2 opponents were MARGARITO and CLOTTEY who are 32 and 34, respectively.. so why do people say PAC only fights old people? FLOYD picked on MARQUEZ who is 2 weight classes smaller.. then fought old SHANE out his prime. FLOYD (34) needs to fight PAC (32) NOW!

Yet Pacquiao is deciding to fight Mosley now... even though Floyd battered him and he didnt look good against Mora, at least when Floyd fought him he was coming off an impressive win. Cut the **** because neither of them is perfect, if you ask me I dont think either guy is big on fighting each other, there egos are too big.

Also, I wouldn't say hes been a great dissapointment at all, hes won 6 world titles in 5 weightclasses and is an ATG/HOFer, when achieving this you shouldn't be looked at as a dissapointment (though I do think when its all said and done we could all say that Floyd could have done a little more).

This article is total bulls**t. Floyd the person may be a disappointment, but the athlete....... are you serious? Boxing is not basketball or baseball. matchmaking is part of the game. I'm sure this same writer thinks Paquaio is some unearthly being, but he is a beneficiary of deft matchmaking as well.

How can you mention the work ethic, the impeccable fundamentals, and freakish reflexes and then say he's a disapponitment. I challenge every single person on this thread that thinks---Floyd Mayweather is disappointment as an athlete---to look in the f**cking mirror and compare your accomplishments at your job to his. I'm sure that if Floyd's resume makes him a disappointment, you all must feel retarted!

All the comparisons to Ali always leave out that Ali had to fight certain fights because he was a victim of raw hate. Don't forget, Ali was once HATED!!That hate cost him the legal ability to fight in his prime and drained him of cash reserves. So, you see Ali faught for money as well. Even did a rediculous ---Muhammad Ali/Antonio Inoki “Boxer verses Wrestler” exhibition match in 1976--- for a reported 6 million in Japan. no doubt floyd is the best boxer pound for pound, but pac is the best fighter pound for pound.......this is the reason why this fight is so interesting...i hope it happens....

but for now ill be content with the shane mosleys and JMMs of the world....as long as pac is fighting...its all good...i dont mind paying the PPV...

Tom Gerbasi is one of the best writers out there. I respect his opinion, actually I sat down with him cool guy... Here's my problem with the article. First off the disrespect to Roy Jones....Who didn't Roy fight? Darius M? Can't fight them all and Hopkins nor Toney fought Darius....


As for Floyd I'm disappointed that Floyd didn't fight Pac man but to act as if his career is a disappointment is disrespectful.....The man is the best and undefeated and has fought at a World Championship level since his second year as a pro.

I can't help but feel that when you are so supremely gifted that there are people who want you to fail so bad that they discredit all of your accomplishments...People often talk about the Castillo fight....but neglect to remind everyone that Floyd rematched him right away and proved who the better fighter is.....If Floyd is so afraid to lose why would he fight the guy that gave him his toughest fight....also in the fight when the fight was getting away from him did Floyd panic because he was experiencing the first tumult in his career...no he still fought the relaxed type that he always does.....

We see many fighters be upset along the way...get knocked down....get knocked out.....get out box etc...this guy has managed to stay off his ass, to hit his opponents with a high percentage of shots while avoided real damage IN THE RING....Respect is due to this man.....I know these forums are filled with dudes who hate and will continue to hate but Floyd is not the Great Disappointment he is in an all time great..........
