I don't like or dislike Mayorga, but it will be at least an interesting build up to a fight most people won't mind seeing Cotto in as it is just a tune-up to a summer blockbuster with Plasterito.

As far as Vanes, a 90-year old Mayorga on a stage smoking cigarettes and speaking incoherently will sell more tickets than a "young, in his prime, undefeated" nobody like Vanes. You'd think he'd figure out there's a good reason why nobody's clamoring for him to get a title shot, but no. He keeps making a fool out of himself asking for guys he can't even landscape for.

since youre so smart, you should figure out that NOONE AND I MEAN NOONE is buying tickets to this fight or paying for ppv because Cotto is fighting "MAYORGA"... there are no boxing fans out there saying oh yeahhh, cotto is fighting mayorga now i'll go buy this card... the same people that were gonna pay to see cotto vs mayorga would pay to see cotto vs martirosyan and then some... everyone's acting like mayorga has this huge cult following....mayorga doesnt have a cult following where you can rely on 100k ppv sales just because of him... people are gonna buy this card because of cotto and cotto only, end of story!!! stop acting like mayorga is gonna put significant butts in seats or make the casual boxing fan order ppv just because mayorga is fighting... i would argue the casual boxing fan knows more of vanes than mayorga, at least vanes has fought more than 4 fights in 4 years and can present a challenge to Cotto...cotto's team can say all it wants about how they chose mayorga because of financial reasons, but at the end of the its bull****... they picked the guy who has been semi-retired, is over the hill, is old, is a chain smoker and is looking for one last pay day to retire... they want an easy victory and mayorga is the perfect solution... i dont blame them but please dont try to tell us otherwise... i will go on a limb and say that cotto would have made more money fighting vanes than mayorga since vanes would demand very little money just for the opportunity to prove himself...

thats what im saying top rank has many fighters i don know why hes being ignored. Cinron would be a good test or angulo.
