Mike Tyson's Lastest Comebacks Were Poorly Set Up

I think if Tyson would have faught smaller fighters he would still be fighting today. Why put a 5'11 39 year old man in against two fighters that are way bigger than him. Tyson hadn't faught in over a year when he faught Danny Williams who resembles a football player. Then after that they put him in against a guy the size of a professional wrestler in Kevin MCbride. Wouldn't you think they might try to put him in with someone his size? Tyson is now finished and will never comeback but I think some of that has to do with his advisors and promoters setting up with over sized opponents. What do you think?

I would have to agree with you.

McBride was 32-4-1 I think going into that fight and he was huge.

Everyone was saying he is a bum this and bum that. I don't think he was as much of a bum as everyone made him out to be.

Sure he dosn't have too much talent, but he had the brains enough to weather tysons storm and wear him down.

Tyson prime would ****in kill Mcbride in 10 seconds. That is a fact. But the truth is , I think they should of looked really hard to find a bum who wasn't a " Clones Colossus " like Mcbride was.

They should have worked on just boosting his confidence by fightng guys who really were bums and had more than 4 losses on their records.

If they did it right, I have no doubt Tyson could have made a comeback and won a belt again. As it is , however, tyson's career is over.

I agree, even Foreman thought that his comeback was poorely set up. It would have been much better if Tyson fought some smaller fighters to hype up his comeback, and then the a title fight with any of the beltholders.

I agree. It's a double edged sword though......if he were to have fought guys like Byrd or Toney.....I think he would have had even more trouble. I do think however; the opponents he should have faced would have been guys like Owen Beck, or Friday Ahunanya. Six footers.......no more than 6'1 and not very mobile or skilled.

I jest think we shoulnt make threads bout TYSON CONCERNING FIGHTS. it's ok to start Tyson humpin gurls threads, but not him fighting, nyahahaha. He's done. He should stay retire. Makin threads bout wut happened gainst Williams, Icantremeberhisname who he last fought is like HOPIN he will be champ again.

side note: I bet 2 days from now, sumone starts a thread/poll again "Will Tyson becom champ again?" nyahahahaha. then there will be 55 votes saying YES!
