Floyd fought 7 months ago....how is not considered active?? For Floyd to be considered great he needs to beat Martinez, and Pac???

Martinez has only beat Paul and Pavlik....those arent big threats in the sport
    Pac is following behind Floyd....gtfoh

People don't like ****y *******s. Floyd is mostly responsible for how people feel about him. As a boxer, he is a supreme talent. That's undeniable. People can not like him. That's ok. But to deny his talents because of it is just flat out wrong.

Umm...No, again show me where I said that? He is already great. He proved that against Mosley as far as I'm concerned.

For him to be consider "greater" than Pac he needs to beat Pac or Martinez.

And? Nobody is saying Martinez is just as great or greater than Floyd. Martinez is not even a HOF'er right now. However, Martinez is the man at MW, he is a legit threat to both, beating him right now would be the best win of either career.

So for Floyd to be consider greater than Pac he needs to beat either Pac or Martinez.

You have no clue about boxing and you've made that clear, so clear Ray Charles can see it. For someone to say "For Floyd to be greater then Pac, he needs to face Martinez or Pac" is just DUMB!!!! How can a fighter who is ranked higher in every category beat 2 fighters thats ranked below him then be considered greater??? For Manny or Martinez to be considered GREAT they need to beat the best in the sport & right now thats MAYWEATHER for Pac. Since Martinez fights at middle weight now he doest really need to fight Floyd although thats a good fight. He can fight Ward and all them boys up there, but i doubt he's ready to venture that road. Floyd been domnating the sport for over a decade. Beating champs at the official weight, getting the official titles. There hasnt been a boxer on Floyd caliber to lace up in a LOOOOOONNNNNNGGG time. The boxer with the highest I.Q, Highest Accuracy, wins the most rounds, takes the less punishment, has the highest gate, best defense the sport has seen in decades, is Floyd. Who beat Hatton when he was undefeated? Floyd. Who beat Oscar at LMW? FLoyd. WHo beat Mosley when he was the WW champ? Floyd. Who wants Martinez the MW at 147? Pac. Who will fight them at 154 or MW? Floyd. WHo beat Baldomir when he was the WW champ? it wasnt margarito, it wasnt Zab, it wasnt cotto, it wasnt Manny...it was FLOYD. Give me a break talking that B.S about if floyd wants to be greater then Manny crap. If Manny wants to finally have a legit bout at 147 fight Floyd, berto, bradley etc. No catch weights and then lets talk...stop fighting people after Mayweather trying to steal the spotlight...only fools like u fall into that trap..

Roy Jones aint got **** on Mayweather....Roy wasnt a compete boxer, ask tarver..

When you speak on ranking ATG's resumes and accomplishments>everything everything else.

For Floyd to be considered greater than Pac. He needs to beat either Pac or Martinez.

The only active fighter that rivals Pac greatness is Roy(and that is if you can call him an active fighter)

It started with him simply stating that he thought he was the best and it ballooned. The media automatically jump back 40yrs to "who does this n****r think he is?" mode. I am not sayin that he is a boyscout by any stretch but he is far from the most infamous character boxing has seen. This was an excellent vid and it showed America's true colors for sure.

I think ppl are confusing best and great. Great has more intangibles other then pure boxing skills. Public perception, feats not yet done in boxing history, heart, and overall being bigger then the sport itself are all intangibles people look back at to measure a fighters "greatness". In pure boxing skill and boxing I.Q Floyd is of course the better boxer. But add in those intangibles Pacquaio well be perceived the greater fighter down the line, from where they stand at this moment in time. Floyd fan or not you cant argue that.

                    No he did not,

not at all again did Ali, Leonard, or Duran kill their legacies? What about Holy?

Almost all fighter, fight longer than they should. It probably will happen to Floyd, to Pac, to even B-Hop(I doubt it though)

But, it doesn't diminish anything that they have accomplished.

When you speak on Ali, how often do you talk about the Berbick fight?

What about Leonard? Is he more remembered for his matches against the fab 4 or the Norris and Camacho fights?

Only way Jones killed his legacy is to the new fan base that really don't remember or know Roy dominance of the 90's.

Which is it, do people hate on Floyd because he's black or because hes an outspoken, flamboyant prick?!? Nobody likes a ****y prick in any sport no matter what their ethnicity/color ever hear of Ben Rothenberger?
