This is what the professional Ukrainean boxing is about : not to fight outside the home country . Sidorenko already got exposed , now Senchenko's and Dzindziriuk's turn is coming . This guy from Union Boxing Promotions sounds like old soviet politician : we won't sell the belt to the capitalists for $250,000
He's forgettin that boxing is sport and he won't be able to hide his champion under his skirt forever . Mandatory title defence will come sooner or later .

Alverez is a star and the only reason the fight will make any money at all. People want to see Alverez so that entitles him to make money. When you are a genuine star that was'nt forced on people then you deserve the cash. Woman want this guy so it makes him a star. It would'nt matter if he played golf becuase he's sellable.

He did once, but that's because the money wasn't right according to him. He called him out again though.

David Estrada ready for a big 2011; Wants Alvarez

By Matthew Paras - Promoters talk a big game. When the relatively unknown promotional company, Boxing 360, reeled in David Estrada, the long time Welterweight had something to look forward to in his career. Promising him multiple fights in 2010, Boxing 360 first secured a fight with Orlando Lora on ESPN 2’s Friday Night Fights. Estrada was the underdog, but he prevailed taking Lora’s undefeated record in the process. For the moment, Estrada’s career was on the upswing.

It’s been a full nine months since Estrada’s victory, but a lot has changed since then. After failing to secure fights for him, the once-comforting relationship between him and Boxing 360 went crashing to the ground. A bitter Estrada is still frustrated at the inactivity he has faced..

“I wanted to fight four times this year. That was my plan before I talked to Boxing 360,” explained Estrada. “They told me, ‘We’re going to be promoting fights. You’re gonna be fighting on our cards.’ Instead of that they tried to do what other promoters do and try and sell me off as an opponent. “

Now a free agent, David Estrada returns to his hometown of Chicago, IL to fight for a second time on December 17, 2010. Fighting southpaw Franklin Gonzalez (13-6, 9 KOs), David Estrada gets another opportunity to fight this year by pairing up with 8 Count Productions’ Domnic Pesoli. Estrada insists he is not overlooking Gonzalez, but his eyes are set on names such as the hot prospect Saul Alvarez.

“I would love to fight [Saul Alvarez].It would be a great fight. He’s a good fighter who comes to fight. I know it would be a great fight for the fans,” said Estrada. “They offered me the fight once four or five months ago, but the money wasn’t right so I passed up.”

Even though the fight wasn’t made before, it still makes sense for Golden Boy Promotions. Alvarez, who has fought mostly around the mark of 150 pounds, is looking for his first title fight at Welterweight (147 pounds). Estrada is a fighter who could help set up a title shot due to his vast experience. He’s a rough inside brawler who has faced some of the best fighters in the Welterweight division over the years with fights against Shane Mosley, Andre Berto, and Kermit Cintron. Just don’t expect Estrada to lie down.

“There are a lot of people who talk **** out there just because I have six losses, but guess what? Look who I lost to. I’ve never been stopped on my back, but I got stopped by someone who wasn’t fighting me; that was a ref. “

Alvarez-Estrada would be a sure fire brawl that would give fans their money worth. Until then, David Estrada looks to continue his career by being active.
