    Union Boxing Promotion issued an official statement regarding recent news about the ongoing negotiations to define Vyacheslav Senchenko’s next opponent. Senchenko (31-0, 20 KOs) is the reigning WBA welterweight champion. He was mentioned as a possible next goal opponent for red-hot Mexican rising star Saul Alvarez.

          Well if the fight's not for the WBA title, then there is not much point in bringing Senchenko to the U.S. for the amount of money that they are asking (considerably more than $250,000 obviously since they are not agreeing to that number).

          Fight's probably not going to happen at this juncture. If Senchenko wants bigger money fights in the future, he needs to bite the bullet and accept something along $300,000 and come to the U.S. for exposure, unless of course he feels that Alvarez is a genuine threat which I believe they do, thus them wanting to cash out.

                Fight wont happen

                Saul just wants the belt and Senchenko is the easiest path. Take the belt out of the picture and theres's no point in the fight

                  Or better yet, have El Canelo fight David Estrada.

                  That would be the perfect fight for Canelo next.

                  Probably won't happen though, he probably will fight Matthew Hatton if the Senchenko fight doesn't go through.
