It was very hard (almost impossible) to refute.

Cotto............a past prime cotto no doubt..........won a close win against Joshua clottey...........and a dominating performance against jennings...............

Joshua clottey...............loss a clear but close decision against Cotto

      Margarito..........loss against shane.............dominated against shane......after a career but "dubious/questionable" performance against cotto..................

Shane Mosley................is definitely a B1tchmove by team pacquiao though........................OLDSLEY is done!!!!!!!!!!!
Pacs only critics are these butthurt *****s. If Pac fought those young undeafeted fighters around his weight class and destroy them. Then they would say Pac only fought those green unexperienced kids. Whatever...they will continue finding holes just to dicredit Pacman.

I don't know how you could say he doesn't fight guys coming off bad performances. It's not a myth when the facts are on the table. Just because you like Pacquaio doesn't mean you can twist **** and make excuses. Outside of the JMM fight its been about 6 years since Pac has fought an opponent coming off an impressive win and he lost that fight. It ain't hate dude, it's just facts. There isn't anything wrong with it though Floyd is guilty as well. Comes with the territory when you reach the status of those two.

Cotto, Marg, Clottey, and yes even Mosley have losses because they were fighting against each other. That's what happen if an elite fighter faces another elite fighters, there's a big chance they will lose, and they did. The zero in the L section of a fighter's record means **** if he only fight stiffs..

Pac beat Clottey, Cotto, and Marg when they had losses against each other..
That's the big difference. Had these fighters lost to bums or lesser fighter in their last bout when Pac fought them then the criticism is justified but they didn't...

Pac fought Marg after he lost to Mosley, and a win against Garcia
Pac fought Cotto after he lost to Marg, and a close win vs Clottey
Pac fought Clottey after a disputed loss to Cotto, and a win over Judah
Pac will fight Mosley after he lost to May, and a disputed draw against Mora at 154..

These morons wants Pac to fight a fighter with a zero L on their record, when the only top fighter that fought elite fighters and has maintained that record is Floyd, and he is busy beating up women and rent-a-cops..

            Marquez, give him a trilogy.
            Martinez at 154
Andre Berto, give him a chance to shine.

I just gave you 3 names. All coming off wins. Why can't Pacquaio face these guys instead of guys coming off brutal knockouts or mediocre wins against subpar opponents. I heard he was rematching Cotto at 154 in September. Why can't he fight Sergio at 154?

Given that Pac chose Mosley, you are justified to say that he might have chosen a lesser fighter compared to Berto..But Berto hasnt fought fighter that makes sense to justify that zero in his record.

And Marquez and Mosley are on the same boat.. Both had been embarassed by Floyd. The only thing going for Marquez is that he is getting way to much credit in his last fight, and is riding on previous fights with Pac, when we all know that the trilogy is 2 years too late and 2-3 weight classes removed from being ideal

Joshua Clottey is the only guy on your list who didn't look THAT bad leading up to the fight and/or was not handicapped by a catchweight

but then again he was never an elite

The only fighter who got handicapped in a catchweight is De La Hoya. And he chose Pac to take that fight..
