So beating Yuri Foreman, winning ugly against Clottey, and losing to Pacquiao mean what exactly?

Can anybody seriously answer any of the questions posed in my intial post or is everybody on this site devoid of any real boxing knowledge....

No thoughts or predictions, just that Mayorga hasnt fought and beaten a top 10 opponent and Cotto has....

This somehow means to you feeble minded posters that Mayorga somehow has no chance of winning?

Are you people ****ing kidding me?

Says the guy who gives a slight edge to Cotto

You're right... accomplishing jack shit since 2003 doesn't mean anything!

41 posts and already in the red... not too mention an incredibly sincere sensitivity to just asking a simple question.

What has Mayorga shown that he can beat a top ranked fighter at this stage in the game?

When was the last time he's done so?

Who has he beaten to tell me he can now beat Cotto?

And, when did he beat them?

Am I to believe at 37 years old that Mayorga is suddenly going to become a monster in the ring again, when he hasn't beaten anyone of note since 03?

Unless we include a shot Vargas.... but of course.

                  Wow, raging sensitivity?

No just looking for a marginally adept explanation as to how Cotto just walks all over Mayorga, who I feel even at this stage is MENTALLY stronger than Cotto...

Sure Shane Mosley put Mayorgas lights out in the last second of their fight but if he hadn't Mayorga would've been a split decision victor....

Anyhow I expect this to be an extremely competitive fight. From your posts you expect a one-sided Cotto beatdown...A bit mystifying.

                    20% at most

                    More like 10%

I Dont think Cotto is shot but the fact that i dont think Cotto looks great at 154 is where Mayorga can win this fight

I expect Cotto jab to land everytime he throws it. His timing will find Mayorga everytime he needs to.

He will definitely be going to the body early to break down the aging 37 year old fighter who loves to come out early with lots of energy, but then it bites him in the ass by round 5, where he tries to act like he's not tired, but he is.

After Mayorgas mobillity slows down, Cotto finds it much easier to come in and start using his combination punching by round 3 and on..

I don't know how it will end... I know Mayorga will fight and go out on his shield and it should be fairly competitive for the first 4 rounds.

Mayorga still has good pop, and can catch Cotto coming in, or if he forces Cotto to use his ear muff defense which leaves a lot to be desired... I'd like to see him use his over hand right and follow it up with his left hook... I hope he does it because it will make for a fun watch... It just comes down to how long can Mayorga do it for.

At the end of the day, I don't see Mayorga having the energy to sustain a hard fought 12 rounds with a Miguel Cotto who is about 8 years his junior.

                      Cotto by UD/TKO.
