It's because most of his body work is done during the clinches, and a lot of people tend not to notice. He's always been a great body puncher.
Floyd Mayweather is an underrated body puncher.

Floyd is a good body puncher when he wants to be. The Judah fight is a prime example, he ripped the **** out of Judahs body, some of them devastating.
But he just don't really use it, i guess he feels like he doesnt need to. And using the Shane fight was a bad example, he did very little body work however when he did decide to throw to the body it was good.Comment

When I think of Floyd's body shots. I think of the Gatti fight. Jesus Christ, any other JWW would of gone down. Much props to Gatti. Took a vicious beating in that fight.Comment

You also read that Russian deemed them "weak and inaccurate", agreeing with my statement. I'm asking you, if that's basic strategy for any fighter, why didn't Mosley do it? If he did, Mayweather would've slowed down and got tagged more, right? You watched Hopkins-Pascal.
i don't know why you even have to bring up mosley. obviously he did not go to the body a lot in that fight...and neighter was floyd.Comment

what? what i mean with basic strategy is every fighter goes to the body at some point in the fight...i'm not saying it's their main weapon to win the fight. that's when you can categorized a fighter as a body puncher when he goes to the body as one of his main weapon. did you watch mares-darchinyan? yeah mares won that one because of his body punching.
