He was just saying its a double standard.
There is no double standard, B Hop has altered his fight to match his age if you noticed.
B Hops skill and his oponents lack of skill keeps him in the game (along with the dirty work).

Plus B Hop has not made a dramatic leap, he's always fought the same way just a lil slower now.
Now if he moved to HW and started retiring, breaking orbital bones of guys like the Klits, Sam Peter and so on while gaining speed and power, then we'd have a problem.
B Hops age shows, that's if you've been watching B Hop over the years.

    • The difference is that b-hop is willing to gain or lose weight to face the best while pac let's his opposition to get drained and when he had the chance to fight martinez or jmm (the guy who pwned him twice) he said one was too big one was too small so he could not lose or gain a few pounds to give his fans a good fight but he was ok with fighting floyds 3rd left over next..what a chump..don't compare this cheat with b-hop.

        • I think a lot of it has to do with how they are winning the fights. When you talk about a " smaller" Pacquiao destroying bigger opponents and walking through there punches it raises questions. Hopkins hasn't destroyed anyone lately and I don't believe he could destroy a heavywieght or even take there punches. I don't think Pacquiao is on anything but I am surprised that even at his walk around weight he looks completely ripped and has the stamina and power that he does. Some things just don't make sense like as hard as he works in training and then has to eat to make weight yet he still looks ripped for the fights. Well I believe in freaks of nature and Pacquiao is probably one of them.

How is it that when Alex Ariza comes into the picture Manny starts blowing up into a phenom? Before Alex came along Manny was a B+ fighter who was on a roll in the lighter divisions. Not discrediting Manny because at that time I truly believe he was clean. He moves up and demolishes Diaz which makes sense because Diaz isnt on the same level. Then he demolishes Oscar and his physique looks a little different. Then he destroys Hatton which makes sense cause he was weight drained, although he had never knocked anyone out cold like that before so thats a bit odd.

Now comes the Cotto fight, I had never seen Cotto dropped from a 1 punch not even from legit Welterweights and Margarito with his plaster. Pac had enough power to make Cotto fear him and that just doesnt make sense to me considering he wasnt doing that to Marquez, Barrera, Morales, Diaz or anyone previously for that matter.

Pacquiao had Margarito hurt from a body shot which can happen to anyone, but he also had him unsteady from a 1 punch headshot, which is extremely odd considering it took Mosley 9 rounds to wear down Margarito who is known for his good chin.

Overall, I read an article where Ariza was complaining about the testing saying that they should just mind their business and let fighters do their job because their the ones sacrificing or some bull**** like that. Ariza has changed it up so many times, and now Mannys english has deteriated ever since the accusations. Lol its just his way of covering it all up its so obvious.

Interesting analysis. Should be considered regardless of personal bias. When was Justine Fortune was let go?

              • Mike Marley What are you talking about?

BHOP Cherry Picking? He got cherry picked at the end of the Dawson fight. Did you watch the Showtime fight? I guess not because that is when BHOP showed that he was in his living room and then put his dentures on, when he heard Pascal call him out on television. As for BHOP cherrypickin, he asked to fight Bute; he fought Pavlik when he was on the up. Here is an article about BHOP and Bute that is omitted by the rules on
                boxing News 24
                /2010/04/hopkins-wants-fight-with-lucian-bute

The criticism of Pacquaio stems entirely from the avoidance of the drug testing, and the annihilations of bigger opponents while taking their best shots destroying them in exchanges. Also, why would a respected sports reporter such as Teddy Atlas report about nervousness from the PACMAN camp concerning positive results, and why would ESPN allow a false report to air? Why didn't the Pacman attempt to sue them? He is as guilty as the kid in the cookie jar that is why is. You should do some research prior to writing some bogus article praising BHOP, while trying to downplay one of biggest fallacies to ever occur in a sport. If Pacquio was to come out dirty, boxing would be crippled for years.

                  • Lol Bernard Hopkins is only in his third weight class. Pacquiao has gone up 7 weight classes[I don't count 154]. Pacquiao in his 3rd weight class was no where near being accused of being on PED's. Actually Pacquiao in his 5th weight class was still no where near being accused of being on PED's not even in his 6th weight class. It was when he went up to 147 that the accusations started.

Hopkins at Heavyweight still doesn't warrant accusations of PED's. Let alone at 175.

Bhop would take the lab tests all the way to fight night. Too bad u cant say the same for pac.
