Shymkent, Kazakhstan - WBA and IBA Light Heavyweight World Champion Beibut Shumenov (10-1, 6 KOs) has been preparing for the biggest fight in his very short, but storied career, training for "The Unification," his Jan. 8, 2011 blockbuster boxing event first at Team Barry Boxing in Henderson, Nevada with his head trainer and 1984 Olympic Silver Medalist Kevin Barry, and now in Shymkent.

I just hope the winner fights Lightning Zsolt Erdei.

Should be a good fight, both guys lack defense and like to slug it out.

braehmers belt is originally zsolts former one that he vacated after he moved up to CW where he won the WBC belt. impressive performances. erdei doesnt get enough credit for that.

i doubt braehmer would fight him, but since erdei has changed his promoter maybe its possible now.

Shumenov promoting himself and fighting at home is certainly a bad set of circumstances for Braehmer.

I do hope Shumenov wins because he would likely be willing to take on Erdei in Las Vegas.

I easily see the winner being lured to Quebec to fight Pascal. The more titles the more drool down the mouth of promoters. If this happens then it would winner of Pascal vs Shumenov/Braehmer against Cloud for all the marbles. First Pascal got a busy 2011 infront of him with Dawson and Hopkins rematches.
