    Sergio's Speed?

How do you rate the speed of Martinez? And how would he do against opponents with same speed or even faster than him?

Against Williams, he was able to match it. Williams was doing good with speed when its a distance but when its close, Sergio was able to beat Paul.

Against Pavlik, he showed it but Pavlik is slow.

He is good but his combinations don't seem especially fast to me. But he is talented.

his skill plus speed plus awkwardness = greatness

might not be the fastest though

He fight in a square u pattern .he retreat to bait you but will side step and come forward from the side, that the square u pattern ,also he leaves his hands low like Floyd,Roy,does so you can't see the punches till it come up,he has a sneaky style, all good fighters has. A something style.I think cotto style habe a chance of beating Martinez of he can avoild getting knock out,he could will on decision cotto does well close fighting.

This...if you're aggressive, he walks you into punches.
