    Amir Khan's popularity...

What makes him so popular? He's the second most controversial prizefighter right behind Floyd Jr.

He's actually not all that popular.

even in england hes quite a ways behind Haye.

He just gets talked about a lot, but most of it is still negative.

Haye only became popular after the Valuev fight. I still remember Haye walking around Westminster Bridge with Steve Bunce before the Barrett fight and hardly anybody knew who he was.

Khan on the other hand is popular but comes across very arrogant and uses the race card a lot so he gets a lot of flack from that. But I think after beating Maidana he is getting a lot more praise from the general public. He still has a long way to go but he is on the right path.

Most people know him in the UK and it's because he received a lot of exposure after winning silver in the Olympics he's been marketed very well.

He's done things no other boxers have really been able to do in America which is have exposure on terrestrial TV on a main channel which significantly increased awareness.
