i dont agree with that statement. i love a guy with a chin. but skills are just as beautiful to watch especially when you appreciate the technical side of boxing.

Nobody really does anymore. I blame part on the fans and part of it on MMA. People today just want to see a puncher VS a punching bag. Nothing technical. Technical is "boring", as a simpleton would say that probably doesn't understand what boxing is even about.

Also nevermind the fact that Mosley brutally stopped Marg.

he didnt adjust mate, floyd fought for the same way for 12 rounds, just got to mosley first and got out of the way of his hits for the fight, if he couldnt get away he tied him up

in the 2nd round he got it a bit wrong

to me it showed how easy the fight was for floyd, seriously he walked the win over mosley, was no way near his best for me, but the reason was because mosley was so poor that floyd didnt have to go to a high level

floyd doesnt have the best at all, honestly think pac would have a field day with him but thats a day for another thread
you a straight up hater man.. Floyd didn't adjust? hell yea he did adjust, he knew when he got hit that he needed to give Shane something to worry about so he became aggressive while at the same time maintaining his defense, he held on to Shane's right hand AFTER he got caught and only for while he was stunned because he then managed to strip Shane of his right hand for the rest of the fight using excellent footwork, an awesome jab and incredible overall strategy, to say that he didn't adjust is imbecile material, he didn't just "got out of the way of his hits for the fight, if he couldnt get away he tied him up", it was one of Floyd's best offensive performances of recent times, he could have boxed away but instead decided to trade and stand there with Shane he just made him look horrible the whole fight..

to answer the question it's obviously better how Floyd took Shane's shots because he skillfully found a way to bring himself to a win, he gave Shane something to worry about he didn't just plod forward and allow himself to be beaten down like that. people look for the wrong things in Boxing, they jump out of their chair when Margarito is getting his ass whooped just because of how good he was able to take a beating but don't jump off their chairs to cheer on someone who took the same bombs, didn't allow himself to receive any more damage and actually found a way to turn the tide and win every other round in the fight, they got the whole dynamic of Boxing wrong

fighters train for conditioning no doubt but mostly they train on technique, they always need to work on technique to be able to present troubles for each individual upcoming fight, explain to me what technique are you showing when you are allowing someone to ruthlessly punch you in the face and you have no offensive answer? absolutely none, if this is a comparison of chins we can't answer that because Floyd has not allowed himself to be hit as much as Margarito has

Exactly. It's sad because Mayweather defines what boxing is. I still remember watching Mayweather-Marquez and whatever that UFC ppv event was at a sports bar. They had both ppv's on screen by screen and you see pure elegance on display in boxing and a bar fight in MMA. Not stating all MMA fighters are street fighters, but if it's not Silva or GSP, it doesn't look like a mastered art form or fighting technique.

I can no longer watch boxing with anyone because all I hear is "this fight is boring", "get to the main event", "these guys are terrible, I'd kick their ass", etc.... Manny Pacquiao epitomizes what the majority want, Mayweather epitomizes the sport itself.
