Sergio Mora doesn't have the best defense but he has good defense in that he works good off angles. Plus, he was well over 160 fight night standing 6ft tall and Mosley at 5'9" was just over 154. Remember Mora weighed 157 on the first weigh-in, while Shane was 154 even. These things play big factors when you take punching power and absorption into consideration. Mora's weight loss prior to the second weigh-in surely caused him to perform a lot less than his ability. He said it was because of his respect for Mosley, but I'm sure the weight loss didn't help his performance. Pre-fight I felt that Mora was a bad match up for Mosley because of his size and style, clearly it could give Mosley problems even Mosley at his prime. Anything above at or above 154 is not good for Mosley. Mosley is a true welterweight and had he stood his ground at that weight I'm sure his legacy would have been a lot more polished...although clearly he is a future Hall of Famer.
Back to the subject...Mosley's only real chance is a punchers chance and I say that being a solid Mosley fan. Although Pac is very hittable and can be hurt, his work rate is what the main problem will be for Mosley. If Mosley comes in with a hurt to destroy plan...we'll see a helluva fight. If Mosley tries to pace himself and box Pac it could get really ugly for Mosley.
it will be like amir khan vs maidana but mosely is a KO puncherComment
